Recognising how difficult it was (and still is) to organise ‘tradies’ to quote on various building projects, let alone get them to actually turn up, and recognising that in society today, people are very time conscious, Asset was formed on the belief that what the outdoor construction industry needed was a business with a “one stop shop concept”.
And so in July 2005 Asset was born. With its founding manager, Ryan Stolberg, leading the team, utilising his wealth of sales knowledge and previous industry experience, and Michael Hawthorne leading the building crews, also utilising his vast experience as a registered builder, Asset hit the market place running. Customers embraced the idea that we could offer the complete outdoor solution that included decks, patios, room enclosures, carports, studio sheds, concrete, blinds, water tanks and other miscellaneous building projects that other ‘tradies’ did not want to do.
In 2006 Neil Harvey joined the company as head building supervisor. Neil’s wealth of knowledge in the construction industry, which spans some 25 years, has been impressive to say the least, and the company has benefited immensely from his dedication to perfection.
In 2007 Neil Harvey and his partner Debbie Hilton, purchased the company. With Debbie’s background in accounting and administration and Neil’s building background, their combined industry knowledge and business know how have enabled Asset to grow to the company it is today, and will ensure the company will continue to grow in the future. Both Neil and Debbie are actively involved in the day to day running of the business, ensuring the customer is always receiving the best customer service.
AND WE MUST BE DOING SOMETHING RIGHT! From its small beginnings in a shed at Yamanto with one design assessor and one builder, Asset is going from strength to strength to be one of the top outdoor addition companies in Brisbane.
Since 2005 Asset has constructed over 2000 outdoor additions with many customers having multi projects constructed by us. Asset currently employs 5 teams of builders, 4 design assessors and an administration marketing team.
However, the company also recognises and appreciates the support of its past customers. Many have recommended friends and relatives to us, and without this level of continued support, Asset would not be where we are today.
